What to Wear Instead of Skinny Jeans *5 Options*

Skinny Jeans have been a staple in our wardrobes for years. They're comfortable and easy to style. That said, there are so many other pant options that are just as easy as a skinny jean but will freshen up and revive your look.

1. Straight-Leg Denim

Straight-leg jeans are the comfortable sister to skinnies. They have a more relaxed look, but can pretty much be styled the same. You can go super comfortable with a tee and flip flops. Or dress them up with a blouse and a wedge.

2. Wide-leg Palazzo Pant

These are the quintessential easy, breezy summer pant. You can move and play in these, and keep cool while doing so. They have an elastic waistband and soft, fluid fabric. The best part is that they can be easily transitioned from casual to dressy by swapping out your shirt and accessories. Another bonus: Wide-leg pants will flatter all body shapes—big and small, short and tall.

3. Jumpsuit

Whether you're in a playsuit for a party, a boilersuit for everyday, or a culotte-style for hot days, the jumpsuit is the easiest style to pull off. Simply button it up and go! They are smart and comfortable with a slight fashion edge. They also work for a number of body types! This specific one from Madewell will emphasize a waist—whether you have one or not. The puff sleeves are current and the pant legs are straight and comfortable.

4. Relaxed Jogger-Style

These jeans are a cross between joggers and jeans. They have ultimate stretch and softness and are great way to easy back into "real" pants. They are meant to be worn casually! You can tuck in a tee or knot it at the waist, add some slides or flip flops and you're ready for your day.

5. Maxi Dresses

A maxi dress is a staple this is always a great replacement for skinny jeans. It provides coverage when running around chasing your kids or playing with them on the floor. It has an easygoing silhouette with a sophisticated design. Dress is up or keep it casual with your choice of shoes and accessories.
